Top 8 Must Have Baby Products For Your Kitchen

As a mother, you spend a lot of time in the kitchen and as a new mom your kitchen gets a serious makeover after your first baby. The question I asked myself over and over again was, ‘where on earth will I put all this baby stuff?’ Well the wine glasses got replaced by baby bottles and the kitchen got a whole lot messier. Eventually over time I figured out a nice routine for my bottle washing, sterilising and bottle making production line. I breastfed, expressed and bottle fed, so my kitchen was full of baby products. Watch the video for the full review. Here are my top 8 baby products for my kitchen, let me know how you organise yours!

Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Perfect Prep Machine

Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature

The Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Machine is amazing. You can make a bottle in less than two minutes at the perfect temperature, it’s so quick, so handy and I honestly don’t know what I would have done without it. You simply press the button, it dispenses a hot shot of water, you add the formula, press the button again and it tops up the hot water with cold water. The bottle is then the correct temperature. The machine has lights that tell you when to replace the filter, when it needs cleaned, when the water is too hot and when it needs more water, pure genius!

I’ve read some reviews from people who wanted the perfect prep machine to dispense the formula as well, but this could never work as everyone uses different formulas, that have different scoop measurements. Plus is you have different babies using different formula, it wouldn’t work either. The tommee tippee formula maker works fine just as it is, I actually have three, one for the bedroom night feeds, one for the kitchen and one for grandmas.

Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Milk Powder Dispensers

The Tommee Tippee baby formula powder dispensers, can allegedly hold up to eight scoops, but I’ve only ever fitted in seven. Must depends on the formula you use?  Regardless, they’re very handy. The only negative point is there’s three parts to wash per pot, and this can add up if you use a lot of them. Check out the full review of formula dispensers for more info.

Dr Brown’s Deluxe Bottle Warmer

You don’t have to use Dr Brown bottles to use the Dr Brown bottle warmer. The MAM bottles fit in perfectly too, I haven’t tried any others. I went through three baby bottle warmers before I found this one. What’s great about it is the timer, you can set the timer up to five mins and it holds the last time in memory, provided you don’t switch it off by the plug. The timer counts down and beeps when it’s ready. A great buy.

The First Years Spinning Drying Rack & The OXO Tot Bottle Drying Rack

If you need a rack for drying your bottles, both the First Years Spinning Drying Rack & the OXO Tot bottle drying rack are a superb choice. They don’t take up a lot of room, can fit many bottles, teats and other gear and are easy to clean.

Clevamama Microwave Soother Steriliser

The Clevamama Soother Steriliser is a great place to store your soothers or pacifiers, with the added bonus of being able to sterilise them the microwave.

Clevamama Baby Formula Mixer

This Clevamama Baby Formula Mixer is a handy gadget for mixing formula. Depending how you make your bottles, you may have no need for it. Personally I used it for a while when my baby was on a thicker comfort formula. Even with a bigger teat size, the formula still got stuck, so I whisked it a little bit and that helped.

Philips Advent 3-in-1 Steriliser

The Philips Advent Steriliser can hold a phenomenal amount of stuff. The best thing about it is you can separate the top from the bottom if you just want to sterilise a few things. I used the Tommee Tippee electric steriliser with my first baby and the Phillips Advent with the second, they are both great choices.
